About Lerro Productions
Peter A. Lerro, Jr. is a native of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, with over 30 years experience in all phases of the graphic design industry and has won several awards in advertising design. He graduated from Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, 1981, and has returned to teach freshman advertising design.
Perfecting his creative, design, production and illustration skills, Pete has worked for various advertising agencies in the Philadelphia and Northern Virginia region. Experience includes full ad campaigns, displays, collateral, web design, illustration, and art supervision.
As an illustrator, Pete’s railroad reproductions presently feature the PRR, B&O, N&W, and Reading. He is currently working on commissioned paintings portraying other roads across the county.
Distribution of his work is nationwide and he is accepting commissions. His illustration work also features mass transit and traction.
Peter Lerro III is a working freelance photographer and has covered high profile events such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, IRL as well as photographed weddings, modeling, wildlife and landscapes. His freelance resume includes Comcast Sports Net, Contrast Photography, F8 Sports Media, Life Touch and a number of other companies and publications. He is also a Nikon Professional Service (NPS) member.
He got his start in photography on a 8th grade class trip to NYC where he took his first pictures onto of the WTC with a throw away camera. After not being impressed with how the camera captured the scene, he began to learn how to use SLR camera. Throughout high school, he taught himself how to use the slr camera as well as develop his own style of shooting. In college, he learned about the finer points of dynamic range, dark room processing as well as large format camera use. He also surrounded himself among other professional photographers in order to learn the tricks of the trade
Peter Lerro’s side projects include operating a number of photo tours and workshops which he teaches photographers how to photograph different subjects across the United States. He is also directing and producing a documentary about lighthouse keepers titled “Keeper’s of the Light”.
