October 19th – We start our Rio Grande event with the most elaborate night photo session ever seen in the Chama yard. Multiple locomotives, structures, actors and props will all be utilized. We will not be using strobe lighting. A new flood lighting system may be used instead of the halogen lights.

October 20st – 21st – We will recreate true Rio Grande operating practices and scenes from the 1940’s-1960’s with two days of authentic Rio Grande action from Chama, NM to Antonito, CO with numerous locomotive and consist changes. Our locomotive power will range from 1 to 3 locomotives and we will also be renumbering two of the locomotives for the event. In order to keep our train authentic, we will not be using the rider boxcars with our train. Only authentic freight cars and a single caboose will be used.

Our train will depart Chama, NM on Monday morning and will not return until Tuesday evening so lodging must be done in Antonito, CO. You will need to bring everything with you on the train for an overnight stay. We will do a few night shots in Antonito, CO on Monday night so plan accordingly.

Lerro Productions will be reserving hotels rooms for patrons at the “Narrow Gauge Inn” in Antonito, CO. There are only 33 rooms but there will be 50 patrons on the charter. Please let us know if you are traveling with other people so we can arrange to keep your party together. We will bus patrons to Alamosa, CO for lodging if we cannot find lodging for everyone in Antonito.

Lunch will be provided by Lerro Productions at Osier both days but you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks aboard the train.
